Using art to express… one of the most powerful ways of unlocking thoughts and feelings...

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art as its primary mode of communication. It is very useful for individuals who may be seeking therapy or counselling and want to explore their issues through this creative approach. It is particularly useful when dealing with emotional difficulties.

The process involved in artistic self-expression helps an individual to discover new insights, a healthier sense of self, understand and work through conflicts and develop interpersonal skills. This is all supported by the art therapist who guides you through the process.

Art Therapy is not dependent on spoken language and can therefore be helpful to anyone who finds it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings verbally. It is therefore suitable for very young children, and children with communication problems and individuals with English as a second language.

Art therapy benefits everyone as it is an enhancing experience for people at every step of their journey through life.
